On November 18th, National Adoption Day, I got to be a part of something so very beautiful - the making a forever family. My dear friend received her new son as a "safe haven baby" 6 months ago, on the very day he was born. Last Friday I was able to attend, with many other supportive friends and family members, the legalization of his adoption. This sweet boy now has a new name and a family for life. It was such a momentous and emotional event as this "permanent and irreversible" decision was made. I was so honored to be a part!!
