We've had such beautiful moments of growth and love and victory. We have cheered and celebrated. We have played hard; we have felt encouraged; we have been overwhelmed by support from friends.
We've also had moments filled with challenges and frustration. We've felt weak, tired, exhausted.
At this point in time (having had no contact with their mom) the kids don't want to leave. Though they will continue to remark about the lack of candy, soda and potato chips we consume, they have lavished in the attention and love they have received and the security, stability and fun they've been wrapped in. Tears have been shed on both ends at the thought of good bye.
And, though that will be a hard day, we would do it all over again.... to see them experience love; to hear their giggles and laughter; to tell them about a God who loves them and a Savior who gave His life for them.
They are learning and we are learning. Through the joys and trials we've experienced together, we are all growing and changing for the better.
We have come to love them dearly. And for now, we rejoice at having the privilege of telling them so every day.

I don't know anyone who could better utilize that brief time than you, sweet Terra. The love and teaching they are receiving from you melts my heart. You are changing these children's lives for FOREVER in the 10 weeks you've been given. God bless you, sweet sister.
